The Slip Knot is a commonly used way to tie a scarf for a uniform business attire. It has and elegant and professional look. The Slip Knot is well suited for silk scarves made from a fine, thin fabric, and/or slightly smaller scarves.

  1. Roll, or fold up the scarf. Then place the scarf around your neck so that one end of the scarf hangs down much lower than the other end.
  2. Hold the lower ending end with one hand, and wrap the other end of the scarf around it. Create a loop in front of the wrap and hold it open with two fingers.
  3. Then pull the longer side of the scarf through your neck and through the loop created in #2. You are done tying your silk scarf with the “Slip Knot”.
